The "Ice Cream Machine" is an experimental, highly confidential weapon, currently in development. DARPA, thanks to long-standing trust in SSI's sensory equipment and to take advantage of this relationship and their new weapon manufacturing equipment, has begun to collaborate with Sterne on the MAHEM launcher program. Exponential progress has been made after adding Maksimov's ingenuity into the chaos. Though far too late to compete in the anti-tank weapon competition, [REDACTED] functioning prototypes have been constructed and tested at [REDACTED]. With the proof of concept finally complete, DARPA has now begun looking into expanding the program. Select examples, disguised as typical reusable equipment such as the SMAW, have been discreetly fielded among select [REDACTED] forces in the [REDACTED] for more testing.
Each platform comes equipped with a plethora of Sterne's own combat sensory equipment, including rangefinders, holographic shot-arc projection, a mount for any specialized optics the operator might require or just prefer, and all of it is on a standard rail system to allow customization for multiple purposes; as long as those purposes involve vomiting liquefied slag at something that wants to kill you. It even comes with a bayonet lug!
