The SAR-10 was made awhile back, sometime in the late 50's. The dsign was bought off Eugene Stoner and modified slightly to meet our strict standerds. Using a light 5.56x45mm NATO round, it made its way to the top of the sales market, until, of course the AK-47 showed its way up there. Many varients have been copied from from our design, many illegal.
