The Podbyrin Specialized Arms AMCAR is an automatic combat rifle designed to be compact and powerful at the same time. It is recommended for counter-terrorist organizations.
Overview[]
The AMCAR (Advanced Modular Compact Automatic Rifle), not to be confused with the Colt 727, is a Podbyrin-made carbine. Mechanically, it is a shortened HK33 encased in a modern polymer body, which means it is a roller-delayed blowback weapon. This allows for tremendous reliability and improved accuracy, but also makes the gun a bit choppy to shoot. The AMCAR sports a retractable stock, five rail surfaces (four on the handguard and one on the receiver top) as well as an 11.5" barrel. With a folded length of 24.5", this makes it a very compact rifle. It is chambered in 6.5x42 NATO (it makes sense in context), but can be re-barreled to any .223-based cartridge as well as converted to 6.8 SPC or 6.5 Grendel. One strange feature of the rifle is its steep-angled pistol grip. Podbyrin claims it is well-suited for quick target aquisition, though it is yet unknown whether it's true or not.
