The M28 MCV (Multi-purpose Combat Vehicle) is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle designed by Jackson Ordinance & Armor Corp.
The introduction of the T-15 IFV meant that a replacement for the venerable M2 Bradley was needed soon as hostile forces began to stockpile these. Whilst the Bradley was more than capable of holding its own against some enemy armor, the advancement in armored warfare meant that replacements would be needed, and replacements were planned since 2010.
It was only in 2016 did the M28 enter service, replacing the Bradley. It was coined the nickname "Predator", for it's ability to chase and destroy enemy targets with (ridiculous) speed whilst having little risk to the crew inside. It was planned to have 2 variations, a tank destroyer (MCV-AT, AT for "Anti-Tank") and an infantry support version (MCV-I, I for "Infantry"). The tank destroyer version was well liked by it's crews, due to it's high level of protection (over 1,110mm of sloped armor in the front, as well as factory standard ERA plates protecting it) as well as potent armament, able to give even the T-14 Armata a run for it's money. The infantry support version was capable of taking down even some MBTs alone with relative ease due to the upgraded armament.
It is planned to stay in service until 2035, however enhancement packages can increase it's service life until around 2040.
