Changes: Is using MS Paint to edit a weapon kinda cheating?

reason i ask is that y'all are expert shapeworkers, and i am not good at that kind of thing. also, on weapons like this, i edited out all the holes and filled in areas around the trigger guard in paint, and also lengthened out the side rail. i really just want y'all's opinion.
