The HAMR-136 is an anti-materiel rifle designed by Jackson Military Arms.

Essentially an upscaled XM17 ECR, the HAMR-136 (which should not be confused with Valhalla Arms Company's HAMR Mk. I & HAMR Mk. II) was designed specifically to overcome the .50 caliber M107's incapability of dealing with thick armor. A standard AP 12.7mm round would penetrate around 25mm of armor, while an FMJ round would dent tank armor and not penetrate.

The rifle came about when the prototype HATR AT Rifle blueprints were rediscovered in 2015. A scrapped anti-tank rifle, the rounds it fired were claimed a suitable candidate to replace the .50 BMG. In fact, it can be considered the modern successor to the HATR, particularly the HATR-MS model.

The 13.6x141mm round was brought back after 75 years of being left in the dust as the cartridge chosen for the rifle. It boasted superior penetration compared to the .50 BMG round, with a standard FMJ round penetrating around 38-50mm of armor at 100m distance. However, the round was reworked and re-emerged as the 13.6x141mm JD round. Multiple ammunition types were made, with the APIT-E (Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer - Enhanced [E may also stand for explosive too]) round being the standard, capable of penetrating 77mm of armor at 100mm distance & 29mm of armor at 500m distance, fufilling it's anti-materiel role. It was also more powerful than the Russian 12.7x108mm round. Another round, the Mk. 551 HEAPS (Heavy Explosive Armor Piercing Sabot) was developed in February 2017, and in tests proved to be superior to the M3440 Mk. 2 HEAMP (High Explosive Anti-Materiel Penetrator) 13.8x103mm round used by the HAMR Mk. I.

It was never adopted by the US Army, instead opting to continue the use of VAC's HAMR Mk. I with it's 13.8x103mm round. However the 13.6mm JD round is being offered as a NATO-standard anti-materiel cartridge.
