Hi! My name is Auto, and I run the nation of Greater Saint-Paul. GSP is a founding member of The Cohorse Union, a union of myself and 4 of my buddies (who also run their own micronations) for military and economic purposes.
Recently, the TCU began a military equiment overhaul, meaning much of the pre-existing equipment of each member state's army would be replaced by new weapns built from the ground up. Many contracts have already been signed, but there are a select number of weapons classes which are yet to be agreed upon.
The competition will involve the following weapons categories: Sniper, Grenade Launcher, RPG, Flame Thrower, Shotgun and HMG. We will begin with the Sniper Class and work our way down the list. After each winner is selected, i will update this article to show the next weapons category.
REQUIREMENTS: SNIPER
-Must use 7.62x54mm rounds or higher, with preferences being placed at .308 cal
-Must have at least one Picatiny Rail for attachments
- Must not be fully automatic. Please, this should go without saying
- Must have a fire selector
- Must not exceed 1.10 meters (3.6 feet) in length
- Must not weigh more than 6 kilos (13 pounds) unloaded

To enter the competiton you must create a page for your design and have on it both a picture of the gun and all the technical detail on it. For reference, use IRL weapons descriptions on wikipedia or designs from previous competitions. Designs are to be edited into the page below the "Designs Here" section, and must be done so via the link of the weapon's page. Anything goes as long as it meets requirements. So yes, your sniper can have a grenade launcher attached to it, your HMG can be a bullpup etc. Be creative! The fictional world where the TCU is set in doesn't make much sense at all, and WW2 era planes engaging modern jets while sentient lotion bottles beat the living sh*t out of catgirls are a common sight.
The best design shall be decided by the Cohorse Union Weapons Design Bureau, or CUWDB (aka me and my buddies), so the decision will come out a lot faster than previous competitons, though you all can still vote for your favourite design.
