The Blackburn Firearms M1916 Trench Carbine was designed to be used for combat within trenches during the Great War. It fires the .303 British for service by ANZAC and the British Empire. And .30-30 for usage by the American Expeditionary Force. It also was used by tank crews if needed. There are two different stocks which indicate the time period it was manufactured. The oak wood indicating it was made in between 1916 and 1925. And rosewood indicates it was made from 1925 and 1938. Post Great War the M1916 saw usage by the Polish military and Finnish sniper's during the Winter War. Poland and Finland used both types. The rosewood M1916's are the more sought out.
